MWL Midlands hold Educational Workshop


An Educational Workshop was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran International at Birmingham Center by MWL-Midlands UK on 13th November 2016.

Sr Rukhsana Parveen (Dawah & Tarbiyyah Secretary) for MWL-Midlands Zone presided the workshop.  Ustazah Fatima Mash’hadi (President MWL-UK) and Sr Mussarat Hussain (Vice President) were Guests of Honour.  Sr Lubna Hashmi (President Midlands Zone), Sr Noshaza Hussain (General Secretary MWL-Midlands Zone), Sr Gulshan-e-Fatima (Welfare Secretary MWL-Midland Zone) and Sr Naheed Tassawar (Women Empowerment Project Secretary MWL-Midland Zone) and Tanzimat from all over Midland attended the workshop.

The workshop started off by Sr Noshaza Hussain (General Secretary MWL Midland Zone) welcoming and thanking all attendees. She invited Sister Sadia Ashraf to bless the event with the recitation of the Glorious Quran and then followed by Sister Shazia Parveen (General Secretary MWL of Alum Rock Birmingham) to read a Naat Shreef in the praise of the Holy Prophet PBUH.

Sr Rukhsana Parveen (Dawah & Tarbiyyah MWL-Midlands) on her behalf gave a warm welcome to the participants and explained what her role as Head of Education in the Midland zone is. Furthermore, she talked about the purpose of the day was to inform all teams on the launch of 4 new workshops on 4 different topics i.e.: Wudu, Ghusl, Prayer (Salah), Hadith and duas. Sr Rukhsana informed the audience that these workshops will be delivered in the Midlands in the near future.  Rukhsana Parveen has been teaching “Irfan Ul Quran course” since 2015, in this case she is preparing her students to deliver these workshops in the future. Sister Rukhsana called up her students one by one to share their experience as well as doing a presentation on what they have learnt on the topics of Arabic Grammar and Tajweed.  All the students also said a few words to motivate others to gain knowledge and receive its rewards in both worlds. The students also spoke how wonderful their teacher is and how she kept them motivated to learn and teach in the future.

Sr Lubna Hashmi (President Midland Zone MWL) expressed her views on the workshop and spoke about the future workshops that will be delivered in the Midlands.

To conclude Ustazah Fatima Mash’hadi (President of MWL UK) spoke how impressed she was with all the preparations, and how she could see her dream coming true very soon on educating others and producing many more Mubaligahs.  Ustazah Fatima Mash’hadi elaborated on the importance of the Niyyah (Intention) what it means and what its foundations are. That’s why we need to make a good niyyah in order to flourish and see its effects.
