On Sunday the 17th of April 2011, MYL Sisters (Bradford) held a fundraiser event to raise money for the victims of the disastrous Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan recently. The day consisted of a variety of activities, ranging from henna and face painting to bouncy castles and decorating your own cake.

MYL UK arranged its first workshop for professionals from the local government, colleges, Universities and organizations. The Fatwa workshop was specifically aimed at position holders of all important offices in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. The workshops were hosted by Dr Zahid Iqbal, Shaykh Sohail Siddiqui and Dr Joel Hayward.

It will not be a surprise to anyone to learn of the great misconceptions that are held by many regarding some key aspects of Islam. Presently due to the rise of individuals massacring innocent civilians, irrespective of their religion, in the name of Jihad, has deeply confused the image of Jihad.

Monday, 21st February 2011, was indeed a very blessed day for the Muslim Youth League as Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visited the Muslim Youth League UK headquarters and the Seekers Academy.

An opening ceremony was held for the first Muslim Youth League UK (MYL UK) head office which is situated in Sheffield. The official opening was performed by special guest Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) and Shaykh Abu Adam ash-Shirazi President MQI UK.
