On Saturday 17th of January 2015, Birmingham city centre was buzzing with the young, families and the elderly. All out to beat the miserable January blues.

We celebrated special Milaad Mehfil for children at MQI Birmingham on 15th of January 2014.  It was hosted by our talented 13 year old Fiza Andalib. Mehfil started with tilawat by Javeria and Zara.

On the 15th of July 2012, Muslim Youth League Birmingham organised its second annual Ramadan Crash Course. The course constituted a 3 hour intensive on Spirit of Fasting; how to move beyond the outward form of Fasting and attain perpetual spiritual benefits. The course was supplemented by free notes for all attendees, who numbered over a 100.

Nasheed event was held at Nasby Road Alum Rock on 7th June from 1:00 till 3:30.

Stechford Primary school was invited there to perform some nasheeds .Mrs Yeomans,Mrs Borrows and Mrs Ashtiaq arrived with their group of children.

On 29th of March a very special programme was held at Naseby Road Alum Rock Birmingham. It was organised by Gulshan Baano. This event was a bouquet of English and Urdu poems and speeches. Addition to that we had some lovely nasheed groups and some Ahadhees. This was one of the first event of its kind where we had hugs and kisses, laughter and tears throughout.

MQI Birmingham held its annual parents evening on 22nd June.  Esteemed guests were present during the evening to award the performing pupils of MQI Birmingham

On 1st February a very successful programme of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) took place in Minhaj-ul-Quran mosque situated on Naseby road, Alum Rock, Birmingham.

This blessed programme started with the reciting of the holy Quran by Javeria Ahmed, followed by nasheeds from Shaheen, Shameem and a few others.

Hosted by Gulshan Bano we moved towards Rozina Nawaz who said a few powerful words about Dawa project. Continuing with our lovely nasheeds we called our angelic young speaker Fiza Andalib who delivered an Urdu speech with some breath-taking nasheeds.
