The Grand celebration of Prophet's (PBUH) Mawlid

In the Name of Allah most high most gracious. The grand celebration of Milaad-ul-Nabi took place in Cheetham Hill (Dad Hall) on 31st January, which was collaborated by MWL Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall and Manchester. The programme started at 2pm and finished at 6pm, 300/400 hundred sisters attended the event.

The programme stared as Sister Asifa recited Durood Shareef followed by sister Aymen Saeed and Myera Saeed reciting verses of The Holy Quran, sisters Noreen, Kaneez and Sajida performed Naats and sisters Maha, Sundas and Esrah from the children participated and performed Nasheeds and Naats.

There were two speeches that were presented by sister Zahra Hussain MYL-Sisters Vice President and Ustadha Fatima Mash'hadi MWL UK President. They both Gave us very educational lectures, sister Zahra Hussain speech was about the Mercy of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and how he is the Mercy for all mankind and jinn’s, she also mentioned Hadiths quoting that Prophet Muhammad PBUH loved reciting long Surahs during pray congregations but when he would here a child crying he would read shorter Surahs because he felt the mothers concerns for her child and sister Zahra Hussain also mentioned another Hadith as Prophet Muhammad PBUH said he is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young ones and esteem to our elderly(at-tirmidih).

It was an honour to have Ustadha Fatima Mash'hadi at the Mawlid she gave a speech about death which was very intriguing and had all of us in the Hall pondering and reflecting on our Self, she also went on to mention in her lecture that when one dies they will be asked questions in their grave by Munkeer and Nakeer and one of them questions will be "do you know who the last prophet is?" If one does send Salutations and draws a connection and love with Prophet Muhammad PBUH in this Duniya they will be able to answer this question with ease those with no connection of love with the Prophet Muhammad PBUH in this Duniya will find this question difficult to answer. This lecture was an eye opener for us to focus on our personal connection that we have with our Beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Once the lecture was finished everyone in the Hall sent Salutations onto The Prophet Muhammad PBUH, we had a session of Zikr and it was concluded with a heart-warming Dua by Ustadha Fatima Mash'hadi.

Food was distributed to all the sisters that attended the event
