The New Year Midnight Dhikr is a gathering that is organised annually on New Year’s Eve. This project was launched in 2008, and MYL-S Halifax has been holding these New Year Midnight Dhikr’s for the past 4 years.
Within this gathering the concept of repentance, sins and forgiveness are discussed. Sisters reflect upon the previous year, which has passed, and ask for forgiveness for mistakes, which were made.
Life after death is reflected upon and discussed and then a lecture clip of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is watched and discussed. When the clock hits 11.40pm all sisters start the Dhikr of the Almighty! And go into the New Year with the ZIKR of Allah Almighty. This is a very spiritually uplifting gathering!
