Many Congratulation to all the Alum Rock Tanzeem for holding a Mawlid-un-Nabi on their monthly programme, in which Sister Rabia Khanam MWL (Welfare Secretary of Alum Rock B’ham) incorporated her Mawlid-un-Nabi. This took place on the 3rd of January 2016, which is 22nd of Rabi-ul-Awwal on the Islamic calendar, at Minhaj-ul-Quran at Naseby Road Birmingham. Sister Rabia Khanam began the mehfil by asking her daughter Mominah Fatima to recite from the Holy Quran, to bless the mehfil and gain barakath from Allah Subhan WaTala and his messenger Muhammed ﷺ PBUH. Sisters then read Durood Shareef out loud and took turns reading Naat Shareef, the mehfil took off very quickly as ladies came in large numbers there must have been around 500 ladies and children that attended the mehfil.
