The Muslim Youth League UK held its first 3-day Spiritual Retreat on the weekend of 16-18 November 2012. The Retreat was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Centre in Bradford. The retreat started with intentions of voluntary i’tikaf (spiritual seclusion) and included various activities to make it multidimensional. The participants were fortunate to have Shaykh Rehan Raza who delivered talks and took questions in the Q&A session. Shaykh Rehan has studied for a period of 10 years in Syria, Egypt and Pakistan under the most globally recognized scholastic authorities. He has taken Ijaza from the likes of the Grand Shaykh al-Azhar himself. The participants were also fortunate to have a class on the Fiqh of Purification delivered by Ustadh Waqas Amin, a student of Shaykh Atabek Shukurov.

The Muslim Youth League Sisters UK held their first residential Spiritual Retreat named ‘Awakening the Soul’ under the instruction of Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, on Friday 9th November 2012 until Sunday 11th November 2012. The aim of the retreat was to invite sisters to get away from our normal daily lives and remember Almighty Allah, to help revive our faith and gain closeness with Allah and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The retreat consisted of many different activities, from workshops, short lectures and team-building exercises to spiritually-uplifting Dhikrs, Gosha-e-Durood and Naat sessions.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah SWT and the waseela of his beloved Rasool (SAW), Muslim Youth League UK (Brothers) held a weekend residential in Minhaj-ul-Quran Walsall over the weekend of 7th and 8th of July 2012.

The grand finale of the Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters Executive Tour took place in Birmingham.  The Birmingham sisters had made all the necessary arrangements at the Saltley Leisure Centre.
