Birmingham, 28 October 2013: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that darkness of the world can be eliminated with the candle of knowledge. He said that no nation could make progress, achieve prosperity and become stable without education as the latter was the pivot upon which the future of peoples was based. He said that the challenges Pakistan was confronted with at multiple levels and decline its every sector faced owed itself to lack of knowledge-friendly culture and enabling environment in which the youth could not only quench their thirst of knowledge but also put the country on the trajectory of socio-economic growth.

The Muslim community needs to rise above their narrow differences and forge unity and brotherhood in their ranks without any further loss of time otherwise they will continue to fall prey to internal and external conspiracies and will ultimately be eliminated from the face of earth. The only solution to sectarian differences among the Muslims is to comply with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) both in letter and spirit.

“Pakistan and True Democracy Conference’ was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (UK) on May 04, 2013 in Bingley Hall, Birmingham, UK. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered his keynote address to the hundreds of participants of the Conference.

The Conference opened up at 1:00 p.m. (UK Time) and its proceedings were broadcast live around the world through C92.tv. Thousands of men and women from across Europe in addition to the UK attended the Conference.

Muhammad Rafiq Habib Al-Azhari, a graduate of Minhaj University Lahore, and Vice Principal (Academic) College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, Minhaj University has recently received his PhD Degree from the Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education Dundee, University of Aberdeen, Scotland UK.

Sunday 18th August 2013: Abu Adam Ahmad Al-Shiraazi President Minhaj Peace and Integration Council met with the Bishop of Lincoln and they exchanged views on the book "Fatwa on Terrorism" written by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Dr Lawson commended the work being done by Minhaj-ul-Quran in this regard.

Speaking to a large audience which consisted of mainly learned scholars, teachers, heads of departments including Vice Chancellor of Grand Al Azhar University, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said ”Without believing in the authority of all Hadith books (especially Sihah Sitta), we cannot understand, reject or challenge the authenticity of Hadith Books other than Bukhari and Muslims. Those who do so are actually misguided people. He said that the status of Hadith-in-Sahih and Daeef has been wrongly interpreted in the last century. It makes no difference to the status of Hadith weather it is mentioned in Bukhari or Muslims or not.
