MWL UK hold training workshop for North Zone

On Sunday 24th May 2014, Minhaj-ul-Quran UK Executive Team presented a training workshop for the Minhaj Women League North Zone. Workshop was held in Minhaj-ul-Quran Bradford.

Main aims of the events were:

Provide training and guidance to the north zone tanzeemats role holders in different fields of Mission work. Special focus was to build self-confidence and develop good communication skills.

The tanzeemats attending were 10 in total, Bradford, Halifax, Rochdale, Sheffield, Tinsley, Manchester, Bolton, Accrington, Nelson and Rotherham.

The day commenced with beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran by Sister Naheed (President MWL Halifax) and Hamd e Bari Talla by Sister Rehana Ilyas.

Sister Rifat Batool ( Durood Sharif co-ordinator MWL UK) explained the reasons of why Gosha e Durood and Halaqat e Durood were established. Target for MWL UK is to hold Halaqat e Durood in every Muslim house in UK.

Sister Shamime Jan (Media Secretary MWL UK) gave presentation on the importance of good and efficient media reporting and a structure of how and when to report. She also stressed the great benefits of efficient reporting by MWL UK and the positive impact it could have on MQI worldwide.

Sister Rosina Nawaz (Dawah Secretary MWL UK) explained from teachings of Quran, Sunnah and Hadith why dawah is important part of every Muslims daily life. She gave explanation of different forms/activities of Dawah work.

Sister Fatima Masha'hadi (President MWL UK) commenced her talk by congratulating the north zone on their great achievements so far. She explained the importance of studying Quran and Sunnah, implementing the teachings on ourselves, working as Jammah and having full faith/trust in Allah (SWT). She gave guidance and methods on how to conduct study circles, the etiquettes and structure for them.

Sister Rubina Raja (Welfare Secretary MWL UK) shared the importance of giving/charity of our time and wealth. She stressed the importance of good planning for collection/events for fundraising. A video of updates of different fundraising methods by Minhaj Welfare Foundation volunteers was shown.

Sister Shazmeen Fatima (Tarbiyah Secretary MWL UK) spoke about the importance of well-planned and organised activities and good report keeping. She explained the structure of study circle/Irfan-ul-Quran and educated on the Adabs of Mahafils.

Sister Mussarat Hussain (General Secretary MWL UK) explained the full structure of MWL UK and the value and benefits of working with a good structure. She also stressed the importance of effective team work.

Sister Nasreen Akhtar (President MWL North Zone) presented her work and achievements for the last 8 months. She gave figures of new tanzeemats and new memberships for the north zone.

Sister Fatima Mash'hadi (President MWL UK) concluded the day with an exercise of studying and presenting. This exercise was to teach sisters the importance of continuous studying and then being able to prepare study into presentations. She explained the importance of becoming a good character/role model for the community and a representative of MQI.

Sister Nasreen Akhter (President MWL North Zone) as the stage secretary for the workshop kept the whole day together in a good flow.

Throughout the workshop naats/nasheeds were recited by sisters from Minhaj Nelson Naat Council.

The workshop ended with a beautiful Dua and Salaam to The Holy Prophet (SAW) by Sister Asma (Member of MWL Minhaj Advisory Committee).
