Minhaj Women’s League (MWL) West Bridgford held its weekly Halqa-e-Durood on Tuesday 24th November 2015 at the home of Sister Muneer. Alhumdulliah, this meeting was attended by both MWL members and non-members.
MWL Nottingham held its Muharram programme on the 8th November 2015 at Lenton Muslim Centre. The event was introduced by Sister Salam Rafiq (MWL Nottingham Secretary Membership) and commenced with a beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran by Sister Ayesha Hussain from Minhaj Youth League.
On the 29th October 2015 Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nottingham held its weekly Halqa e Durood in West Bridgford at the home of Sister Shahnaz. The Halqa commenced with a very peaceful recitation from The Glorious Quran by Sister Salma Rafiq. This was followed by listening to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammed Tahir-ul-Qadri’s speech on Mohabbat e Ahlebait Dhiker a Hussain. Sister Kausar gave a speech on Hazarat Imam Hussain (AS) from the book we are studying ‘Shahadat Imam Hussain’. Welfare Projects (Water Pumps & Wells) were promoted.
On the 18 February 2015 Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nottingham organised a gathering in which guests were called and the members of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League attended to celebrate the birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Alhamdullilah MQI Nottingham organised the annual Muharram Programme which was held on Thursday 21/10/2015 to reflect and remember the great sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain AS and his family and friends.
Alhamdullilah Minhaj-ul-Quran Nottingham arranged a programme for brothers and sisters at Masjid Ash Shifa, Bobbersmill Community Centre on the 12 th of Rabulawal in regards to the Birth of our Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW).
MWL Nottingham recently has initiated weekly Halaqa Durood events, of which accounts for 2 recent instances are below.
Alhamdulilah Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nottingham organised a Mehfil-e-Miraj Un Nabi SAW on Saturday 24 May 2014. The mehfil started with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quraan followed by some Naats recited and then a speech was given by our special guest Sister Sayeda Tanzeela about the journey of Miraj and what the Prophet SAW were shown during the journey and how the gift of Salaah was given.
We also had a book stall which consisted of the books of Shaykh-ul-Islam.
Sisters were invited to this Mehfil through text message and word of mouth. We had 60 sisters who attended.
At the end of the program Langar was served.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Womens League (MWL), West Bridgford held their weekly Halqa-e-Durood Mehfil on Tuesday 6th September 2015 at the home of Sister Saima Faqoor.
Alhumdulliah, the Mehfil was attended by both MWL members and non-members. The Mehfil commenced with a beautiful recitation and translation of Surah Al Baqara from The Glorious Quran by Sister Salma Rafiq (Membership Secretary), this was followed by a clip of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s speech that explained in great detail the above mentioned verses. In his speech Shaykh-ul-Islam elucidated the crux of these verses, that a person can only begin his journey of Islam once he accepts everything in The Holy Quran without the need to reason, analyse or apply logic. Only then does our Salah (in any form) make sense and is profitable for us.
