Feed the hungry is an initiative formed by Birmingham Muslim youth league sisters (MYL-S). It takes place every year in the blessed month of Ramadhan and aims to provide free food for the homeless and hungry.
On the 18th October, Minhaj ul Quran Women’s League (Alum Rock) had organised a special Muhurram programme. The gathering commenced by the recitation of The Glorious Quran which was done wonderfully by Sister Zahra. Soon after Qasida Burda Shareef was recited beautifully by Sister Maria and Manqabats were read nicely in the praise of Imam Hussain (RA) by Sister Habiba and Sister Tabassum.
On the 4 July 2015 the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League of Alum Rock Birmingham held their monthly programme in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Birmingham on Naseby Road with the will and blessing of Allah SWT and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Tilawat was done by young Sister Nafeesa Bint Wajid followed by Naats by Sister Ummi Habiba Majid, Sister Shaheen Akhter MWL (Media Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) and Sister Abida Mughal MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham).
Sister Rukhsana Iqbal MWL (Halqa Durood Co-ordinator of Midlands) did Tafseer of few verses of The Quran, reminding us of how Allah SWT says that when you make a promise to someone, it should be kept as a promise, to break a promise whether big or small is a sin.
On the 3rd of October 2015, Minhaj Women League (Alum Rock) had organised a Mehfil-e-Naat to celebrate and thank Allah (SWT) on the joyous occasion of Eid ul Adha. This blessed gathering was held at the Minhaj ul Quran Birmingham.
On the week commencing 29th of June 2015 women league of Alum Rock Birmingham follow the general structure for a Halaqa e Durood at three different Sisters houses in a week. We begin with reciting the Durood Paak for about 20 mins then Tilawat, Naat, Hadith, Tafseer of Irfan-ul-Quran and Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadris lecture is played on a DVD for a short while. A short talk is carried out from one of the books that have been appointed for that month and some talk on Dawah regarding Minhaj-ul-Quran and upcoming events.
