Alhamdulillah on Friday, 21 February 2014 with the blessings of Almighty Allah and through the waseela of his beloved Prophet Muhammad [SAW] Minhaj Women League Hounslow organised Halaqa-e-Darood sister Hina arranged all the programme in a beautiful way at her home in the Hanworth Feltham Area, sister Humaira Shakeel (President) and Dr Amirah Raza (General Secretary) were also there to welcome ladies as this was the 2nd Halaqa-e Durood by a new tanzeem of Hounslow (West London) it started at 11:30 with the Tilawat of the Holy Quraan than the ladies started to recite Darood-e-Pak for about 45 min.
By the Grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of His Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), Minhaj-ul-Quran International London celebrated 63rd birthday of our beloved Shaykh Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The proceedings of the programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhammad Kashif followed by salutations upon the Prophet (SAW). Beautiful poem “Aye Safeer e Aman Aye Bahare Chaman” was also read out with Daff by a group of young children who are students of Minhaj School of Islamic Sciences, (MQI London).
By the Grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of His Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), Minhaj-ul-Quran International London held Annual Giyarveen Shareef Mehfil commemorating the life of Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Gilani al-Baghdadi (RA). The proceedings of the programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhammad Kashif followed by salutations upon the Prophet (SAW) and manqabat by QTV Naat Khawan Muhammad Shoaib Qadri and students from MSIS Abu Hassan and Ahmed Raza.
By the Grace of Allah Almighty and the blessings of His Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), a Training / Tarbiyyati workshop was organized at Minhaj-ul-Quran International London on 1st February 2014 headed by Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, Chief Organiser UK. This tarbiyyati workshop is a follow up of the re-structuring and forming of the new executive body. The workshop started with the recitation of verses from The Holy Quran followed by a beautiful nasheed & salutations sent on Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.). A short introductory welcome was said by Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari, General Secretary Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK, in which he explained the need and the importance of this training and tarbiyyati workshop in detail. He mentioned that the importance for tarbiyyat is a sunnah of the Prophet SAW and also stated that we should know the aims and objectives of our mission inside out. This is the first ever workshop held at a national level for the tarbiyyat of workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran UK.
On 16th of February 2014, Muslim Youth League Sisters (MYL-S) in London held a Mawlid event at a community centre based in Walthamstow, East London. The event was organised, under the leadership of the newly appointed youth coordinator, Zainab Sheikh, to commemorate and celebrate the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
The Beckton programme that was based on Milad-ul-Nabi was a success according to reviews from the sisters that had taken part and attended the Milad. 6 Books ‘Milad-Ul-Nabi’ were donated by Sister Khatija Atkinson to the young sisters. 3 new life memberships were happily achieved on that auspicious day MYL. The vice president of beckton Sister Taj Begum gifted 6 books of ‘Mamulaat-e-Milad’ to the sisters that had attended the programme. The quiz show that had been carried out had included 10 gifts from the Dawah Project which were rewarded to the candidates who answered correctly, Alhamdulillah all sisters had taken part in the quiz show and found it an enjoyable experience.
By the grace of Almighty Allah and through the Waseela of the Blessed Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Minhaj Women League London under the new Tanzeem has successfully organised and established 14 classes for sisters. These classes are established in areas accessible to all, regardless of ability and previous reading. The students are invited to read, learn and implement the teachings of the Holy Quran into their lives and improve their Islamic knowledge and character.
