A great Istaqbal e Ramadan Conference took place at the Minhaj ul Quran International London centre, which was organised by Minhaj Women League (MWL) London on Sunday 13th May 2018.
A large number of women along with children attended the gathering. The programme was hosted by sister Samina (President of MWL London).
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which a heart warming nasheed was read. An English speech was delivered by Sister Tanzila Mahmood about Salah. She encouraged everyone to be regular in their Salah and to understand what they are reciting. She explained the prayers we carry out five times a day is our personal time to communicate with Allah (SWT) and we should carry this out with great concentration and humbleness because from start till the end we are communicating with our Lord and asking for forgiveness etc. This was followed by some sisters reciting beautiful nasheed in Praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) which really brought about a spiritual atmosphere. After this thought-provoking speech Sister Nusrat Mahmood (President of South zone) threw light on the role Minhaj ul Quran International (MQI) is playing for the promotion of knowledge, love and peace, She urged the sisters to attend spiritual gatherings and informed about the various classes taking place during weekdays and weekends. Ustaza Fatima Mash'hadi delivered the main Urdu speech regarding the Holy month of Ramadan. She explained how to prepare for Ramadan and how to take maximum benefit from the blessings of this month.
The event was concluded with Salaam upon the Beloved Prophet (Peace and Blessings Upon Him), and a heart felt Dua. Food was served to all attendees at the end.
