A children's Mawlid was organised by Minhaj Sisters London on the 18th of December.

By the grace of Allah and His Beloved salallahu alaihi wasallam, mothers and their children enjoyed an 'Afternoon of Seerah' with tilawats, nasheeds, power point presentations, talks, quizzes and games.

The aim of the event was to encourage children to recite Quran and nasheed, and strengthen their attachment with the Deen. Most importantly Minhaj Sisters wanted to develop in the participants and themselves the recognition of the significance of having the intention to please Allah and His Beloved salallahu alaihi wasallam in everything we do.

Children were very much an integral part of the proceedings as they gave performances and participated in interactive sessions led by Minhaj Sisters many of whom are teachers by profession.

There was an optional Arabic Themed Dress Code and prizes were awarded for the best dressed.  Mums were very pleased with the Mawlid and are looking forward to further events of a similar nature. Children left with goody bags, sweets and hot food sponsored by generous Minhaj Sisters.

A special thank you to all Minhaj Sisters and participants of this memorable day. May Allah accept the good that came from this and forgive any shortcomings. Ameen.
