MWL Sheffield hold 'Azaadi Festival'

MWL Sheffield organised an 'Azaadi Festival' to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day. The event was held for the wider community to enjoy.  There were many different stalls selling food, clothing and toys and also henna painting and massage services available.

There were also many fun activities for children, the favourite amongst these were the bouncy castle and face painting.

This event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Sister Amna Ajmal MWL UK Membership Secretary and a nasheed by Sister Imrana Haq.

A short talks was delivered by Sister Shahida Ul Haq MWL Sheffield President, to give an insight in to the history of Pakistan.  The children also contributed with performances to the national anthem and 'Lab Pe Aati Hai', showing their love and passion for Pakistan.

The event was enjoyed by all attendees.
