By the Grace of Almighty Allah Subhan A Tallah a Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil for women was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran Idara Nelson. The introduction of the weekly Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil extends across all branches of Minhaj-ul-Quran and aims to inform participants about the journey of Miraaj in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith. The Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfils have proved extremely popular amongst local female residents who feel motivated to attend and feel they gain knowledge and inner peace by participating.
A monthly Giyarwee Sharif Mehfil was organised by Minhaj ul Quran women league Nelson, on the 19th April 2015, at Minhaj ul Quran Centre Carr Road Nelson. After welcoming guests and a brief introduction by host Sister Ghulam Fatima (MWL President, Nelson), the programme commenced with a beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran by Sister Aizah.
On Sunday 8th March 2015, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson organised its annual Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil in honour of the great Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani (RA).
The mehfil was hosted by Sister Ghulam Fatimah (President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson). The programme began with the beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran, which was done by Sister Rabia, who recited some ayahs of Surah Ar Rehman along with its translation in Urdu. After the recitation of The Holy Quran Qaseedah Burdah Sharif was read by Sister Shagufta.
On Thursday 16th April 2015, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil for young female students who attend the education centre on a daily basis. The mehfil began in the usual manner with recitation of the Holy Quran by Nida Ajaz, a senior student at the centre. This was followed by Qaseedah Burdah Sharif which was recited as a group by everyone.
The mehfil then continued in the usual manner with praises on the Holy Prophet (SAW) in the form of Naat Sharifs. The first Naat was recited by Rabia Ayub and Zarah Khan, who read Rab Farmaya Mehboobah. There was then a group hamd by Zaynab, Zara and Aleena who recited the 99 names of Allah (SWT). This was followed by a poem by Zaynab and Alia.
On Friday 13th march 2015, Jamia Masjid Minhaj ul Quran Nelson held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif mehfil for young female students who attend the education centre. The event was a great success and had many blessings as a Minhaj Naat group was also formed in the mehfil. The programme was hosted by senior students, Laiba Ahmed, Ammaarah Ahmed and Noor Mehmood.
On Thursday 19th February 2015, with the grace of Almighty Allah سبحانه و تعالى & through the blessings of the Beloved Prophet Muhammadصلى الله عليه و سلم Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson organised a gathering to celebrate the 64th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Members from all the various forums of MQI Nelson, the local community & distinguished guests were invited to attend the Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran on Brunswick Street in Nelson to participate in the gathering. Arrangements were made for both brothers & sisters.
Before the commencement of the programme, the congregation came together and read the Holy Quran & Durood Sharif for the martyrs of the Model Town & Islamabad Massacre as well as the Green Revolution struggle in Pakistan.
