A Funday was held on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May 2015 organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson. The ladies and children only event opened its doors from 11AM till 6PM on both days at Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre, Carr Road Nelson. The Funday was held due to popular demand by local women and children following previous similar extremely successful events held at the centre.

MWL Nelson holds a Halqa-e-Durood Mehfil every Monday in the Minhaj-ul-Quran centre and every Thursday in four different areas across Nelson so in total there is 5 Halaqas a week. As well as these ijtamai Halqa-e-Durood there is also many family Halaqas.

A monthly Giyarwee Sharif  Mehfil was organised by Minhaj ul Quran women league Nelson, on the 19th April 2015, at Minhaj ul Quran Centre Carr Road Nelson.  After welcoming guests and a brief introduction by host Sister Ghulam Fatima (MWL President, Nelson), the programme commenced with a beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran by Sister Aizah.

By the Grace of Almighty Allah Subhan A Tallah a Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil for women was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran Idara Nelson. The introduction of the weekly Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil extends across all branches of Minhaj-ul-Quran and aims to inform participants about the journey of Miraaj in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith. The Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfils have proved extremely popular amongst local female residents who feel motivated to attend and feel they gain knowledge and inner peace by participating.

On Thursday 16th April 2015, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil for young female students who attend the education centre on a daily basis. The mehfil began in the usual manner with recitation of the Holy Quran by Nida Ajaz, a senior student at the centre. This was followed by Qaseedah Burdah Sharif which was recited as a group by everyone.

The mehfil then continued in the usual manner with praises on the Holy Prophet (SAW) in the form of Naat Sharifs. The first Naat was recited by Rabia Ayub and Zarah Khan, who read Rab Farmaya Mehboobah. There was then a group hamd by Zaynab, Zara and Aleena who recited the 99 names of Allah (SWT). This was followed by a poem by Zaynab and Alia.
