Soldiers have pledged to grow their relationship with Muslim communities across the North West following a successful visit to a Lancashire mosque.
By the grace of Allah Subhantallah a Syeda Kainat (RA) Conference for women was organised by Minhaj -ul-Quran Women League Nelson on the 16th August 2015 at Minhaj-ul-Quran centre, Carr Road, Nelson. Women and children were present from all parts of the community including Nelson, surrounding towns of Brierfield and Burnley. Amongst those who attended were distinguished guests Sister Nasreen Akhtar (MWL President North Zone), Sister Naila and local Naat Khwaans.
A weekly Halqa-e-Ramadhan was held on the 10th of July 2015, at Minhaj -ul-Quran Centre, Carr Road, Nelson. The programme commenced with a melodious recitation of Darood Sharif in congregation to bestow blessing on our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Darood Sharif was followed by the recitation of a few verses from Qaseedah Burdah Sharif in congregation. The sisters were fully focused as Sister Ghulam Fatimah (President MWL Nelson) provided the participants with a brief introduction on the concept of Halqa-e-Ramadhan and how the intention was to increase listeners knowledge about Islam in our day to day lives. She further explained that a chapter would be read from Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's book Husne Ikhlaak in light of the Quran and Hadith. Sister Saima followed guidelines and read from this book.
By the Grace of Allah a gathering was organised by MWL Nelson to commemorate the first anniversary of those martyred in the Model Town Lahore Tragedy. The programme was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre Carr Road Nelson on 22 June 2015 as mark of respect in memory of those mercilessly massacred on the 17 June 2014.
By the grace of almighty Allah Subhana Wa Tallah an extremely popular weekly Halqa-e-Darood Mehfil for women was organised by MWL Nelson at Minhaj ul Quran Centre, Carr Road Nelson which has been successfully running for several years. The aim of Halqa-e-Darood is to collectively send blessing upon our Beloved Prophet (PBUH). Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu anhu) narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (SAW) said: “He who reads a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah blesses him ten times, ten of his sins are forgiven, and he is increased ten times in stages." By holding the weekly Halqas at the the Centre, provides local resident females with access to enhancing their spiritual wellbeing through Minhaj-ul-Quran as well as providing them with access to forthcoming events.
By the guidance of Allah SubhanaTallah an Iftar Charity Event was organised by MWL Nelson at Silverman Hall Nelson on Monday 6th July. The event was hosted by guest speaker Brother Adnan Sohail (Projects Manager Minhaj Welfare Foundation) whose aims for the night were to raise donations for orphans and to provide clean safe drinking water. Adnan Sohail provided the audience with a brief but insightful introduction about Minhaj Welfare Foundation as being one of the largest non -government International charity organisations in the world, which has branches in over a hundred countries. MWF has undertaken welfare projects throughout the world.
On Friday 15th May 2015 Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held an annual Shab e Meraj Mehfil for young female students who attend the education center on a daily basis. The Mehfil was a great success and was hosted and conducted by students themselves. The programme began in the usual manner with recitation of the Holy Quran by Laybah Khan. This was followed by Qaseedah Burdah Sharif by all the students as a group.
