Representatives from Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson visited a number of local establishments during December 2014 to hand out gifts, wish them seasonal greetings and a happy new year. The purpose of these visits is to build a stronger and more cohesive society by engaging with the diverse communities living within East Lancashire.

On the 14th of December 2014, the Women's League of Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson hosted a Gyarvi Shareef Mehfil at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre in Nelson. This mehfil was hosted by Sister Ghulam Fatima. Participants in the form of women, girls and children attended the mehfil.

Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson welcomed respected & distinguished scholar, Allama Syed Farhat Hussain Shah Sahib to Nelson during November 2014. Allama Syed Farhat Hussain Shah Sahib, currently the President of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council kindly visited Nelson to host a number of key gatherings & sittings with Minhaj-ul-Quran members and all the various forums associated with Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson.

On the 16th of November 2014, the Women's League of Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson organized a Muharram mehfil at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre in Nelson. This mehfil was hosted by Sister Nasreen Akhtar and Sister Ghulam fatima. Approximately two hundred participants in the form of women, girls and children attended the mehfil.

On 3rd December Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif for young students who attend the education centre. The mehfil began with recitation of the Holy Quran which was recited by Lybah Khan

This was followed by Qaseedah Burdah Sharif, which was recited collectively by all the students. The programme continued in the usual manner with praises on the Holy Prophet (SAW). The first Naat Sharif of the event was beautifully recited by Hafsah Waseem. This was followed by more praises on the Holy Prophet (SAW) by Lybah Khan and Komal Liaqat.

Jamia Masjid Minhaj ul Quran (Nelson) holds Results Day/Parents Evening

On Thursday 27th November 2014 Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held a parents evening for the young children who attend the education centre. The evening was organised to inform parents of their children’s progress over the last year. It was also to reward the children for their success in the recent examinations they had taken.
