On Friday 13th march 2015, Jamia Masjid Minhaj ul Quran Nelson held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif mehfil for young female students who attend the education centre. The event was a great success and had many blessings as a Minhaj Naat group was also formed in the mehfil. The programme was hosted by senior students, Laiba Ahmed, Ammaarah Ahmed and Noor Mehmood.
On Sunday 8th March 2015, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson organised its annual Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil in honour of the great Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani (RA).
The mehfil was hosted by Sister Ghulam Fatimah (President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson). The programme began with the beautiful recitation of The Holy Quran, which was done by Sister Rabia, who recited some ayahs of Surah Ar Rehman along with its translation in Urdu. After the recitation of The Holy Quran Qaseedah Burdah Sharif was read by Sister Shagufta.
On Saturday 31st January 2015, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson held their Annual Giyarvee Sharif Conference at the Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran, Brunswick Street, Nelson. The conference was hosted by Allama Shams ur Rehman Asi Sahib and commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Brother Muhammad Ibrahim Rehman.
On the 27th of December 2014, the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson hosted annual Mehfil Milad-e-Mustafa (SAW) conference at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre in Nelson.
On Tuesday 3rd February Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran, Nelson, held an Anuual Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil in honour of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani (RA). The mehfil was organised for the young female students who attend the education centre on a daily basis by the senior teacher Sister Tahira Basharat and other members of staff. . The programme was a great success with all the students enjoying themselves and taking part in various parts.
The mehfil was hosted by senior students, Ismah Mehmood, Hasana Mirza, and Nimrah Khan. The programme began with recitation of the Holy Quran, which was done by Iqra Noor. All the students then collectively recited Qaseedah Burdah Sharif. The first Naat Sharif of the event was recited by Komal Liaquat, who recited “ya Nabi Dekha hai rutba”, this was followed by another Naat Sharif, honouring the month of Milad called “Milaad manaya kar”, which was recited by Mariam Ajaz. This was followed by another Naat Sharif by Fatimah Rehman, called “Rab Farmaya Mehbooba”.
On Friday 9th January 2015, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson held the annual Milad mehfil for young female students who attend the education centre. The mehfil was a great success with members of the local community and mothers of the students in attendance at the event to show their support for their young daughters. It was the annual mehfil so spirits were high and all the children were happy to contribute towards the mehfil. The mehfil was hosted by the students themselves; they were Hasna Mirza, Ismah Mehmood and Nimrah Khan.
Representatives from Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson visited a number of local establishments during December 2014 to hand out gifts, wish them seasonal greetings and a happy new year. The purpose of these visits is to build a stronger and more cohesive society by engaging with the diverse communities living within East Lancashire.
