Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson holds monthly Giyarvee Sharif for young students

On Friday 12th September 2014, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson held a monthly Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil for young students who attend the education centre. The mehfil was hosted by Nida Ajaz, Lybah Ahmed and Maryam Hussain. The programme began in the usual way with recitation of the Holy Quran by Fatimah Rehman. This was followed by an Urdu poem by Sana Saeed Butt, about the mecry of Allah (SWT). There was an English Nasheed by Ayman Ahmed and Iram Khan called “Allah knows”.

The first Urdu Naat of the event was recited by Komal Liaquat, which was called “Naat e Sarkar ki parta hu”. Amina Ahmed recited a nasheed called “Allah is enough for me”. There was also a group naat which was recited by Maaheen Anjum, Sammar Basharat, Irtiqah Mehmood and Anam Ahmed. Fatima Rehman Rehman and Anam Ahmed recited another short poem.

Students from the playgroup class recited a beautiful English Nasheed called “Give thanks to Allah”, this included Zyna Aliza, Aleena Ahmed, Amila Ahmed, Lybah Latif and Khadijah Hussain. This was followed with a poem by Sehmoon Khan. There was also a poem by Umme Hayya called “I wake up in the morning”. Sisters Meerab Ajaz, Ayman Ajaz and Malaikah recited a beautiful Urdu Naat called “Ya Nabi Ya Nabi”. Nida Ajaz recited a beautiful Naat called “Ay maut tehar ja” and Zalaikha Mehmood, Lybah Ahmed and Maryam Hussain recited a poem called “Islam is our religion”.

Sister Sana Fiaz, the special guest at the mehfil recited a beautiful Naat called “SubhanAllah”. Sister Atiyah Parveen a former student of the education centre also recited a beautiful naat called “Lajapal Nabi meray”.

The mehfil was concluded with Dhikr by Nida Ajaz and Jasmine Ahmed and Salaam by Noor Mehmood, Fatimah Ali, Aleena Ahmed and Lybah Khan. Dua was done by Amina Ahmed and Ismah Mehmood, who prayed for the wellbeing of all the students, and their families and also for the success of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in his current efforts to improve the conditions of Pakistan.

Students were also given refreshments in honour of the Giyarvee Sharif Mehfil.
