By the grace of almighty Allah Subhana Wa Tallah an extremely popular weekly Halqa-e-Darood Mehfil for women was organised by MWL Nelson at Minhaj ul Quran Centre, Carr Road Nelson which has been successfully running for several years. The aim of Halqa-e-Darood is to collectively send blessing upon our Beloved Prophet (PBUH). Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu anhu) narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (SAW) said: “He who reads a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah blesses him ten times, ten of his sins are forgiven, and he is increased ten times in stages." By holding the weekly Halqas at the the Centre, provides local resident females with access to enhancing their spiritual wellbeing through Minhaj-ul-Quran as well as providing them with access to forthcoming events.

The spiritual programme commenced at its usuall time of every Monday morning at 11am with the recitation of Darood Sharif in silence for half an hour to bestow blessings upon our Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which was then followed with the reading of the wazaif provided by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. A beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Sister Ghulam Fatimah (MWL President Nelson) along with the translation from Arfan-ul-Quran was then recited. Sister Nasreen Akhter continued the mehfil by informing the listeners of some Hadiths. After this Darood Sharif in congregation was recited by all the participating females. The Mehfil continued with recitation of Qaseedah Burdah Sharif in congregation and following this a melodious recitation of Darood Paak also in congregation. Heading towards the end of the programme a heartfelt Zikr led by Sisters Ghulam Fatimah and Sister Kaneez had all the participant fully involved as did the the Salaat o Salaam. The Mehfil concluded with a heart touching Dua read by Sister Nasreen Akhter. The sisters who thoroughly enjoyed the spiritual mehfil were motivated and encouraged to attend the weekly Halqa-e-Darood Mehfils held at the Centre every Monday morning at 11am.
