By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessing of the Prophet(Allah bless him and give him peace)  Minhaj Women League Manchester, commemorate the martyrdom of a very prominent personality Imam Hussain Alaihissalam, his dear family Alaihissalam and  Beloved companions sacrificed their lives to uphold the flag of Islam.

This year MWL Manchester, MWL Cheetham Hill Manchester and MWL Crumpsall organised a "Syeda Zainab Alaihissalam  Conference" to pay tribute to the Ahl al-baty (the household of Muhammad Peace and Blessings Upon Him) who addressed the ignorant and misguided Yazeed and people with courage, calmness and force. Her speech was so powerful that they begged her to stop because they couldn't bear to withstand her words.

On the 1st of November 2015 at Minhaj ul Quran Manchester the Conference commenced with the verses from Irfan Ul Quran with Urdu translation recited by Sister Safiyyah Anwar and hamd of Almighty Allah presented by Sister Abida Bibi. Later on, gifts of glories and exaltations were presented in the honour of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Sister Parveen Sharif.

The 'Syeda Zainab Conference' was conducted by Sister Asifa Uppal (MWL Media Secretary).

Sister Yasmin Yousaf delivered an English speech on the topic' The Prophet's (PBUH) love for his Grandson.' She spoke about the immense love the Prophet (PBUH) had for his Grandson Alaihissalam.  And asked some thought provoking questions.  How can we as followers of Prophet (saw) not love them too? If we love the Prophet (PBUH) and not love his Grandsons Alaihissalam, then it makes our love for the Beloved Prophet (PBUH) questionable.

She also spoke about how the Prophet (PBUH) loved his grandsons to the extent that He (PBUH) would lengthen his sujood during Salah to allow his Beloved Grandsons Alaihissalam to sit on his blessed back. We need to learn from the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) and act upon this Sunnah. However many a time we witness women telling children off in Masjid, for playing.

To follow the english Speech two heart-felt Manqabats were recited in the praise of the family of our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahle Bayt by Sister Asifa Malik. Imam Ghazali (RA) once said, when the heart is softened it is then ready to obtain the delight of intimate discourse with Allah, and be affected by his remembrance.
