In October 2012, the Muslim Youth League Sisters Halifax launched a new Weekly Sisters Tajweed Class, which is being offered to the sisters of Halifax.
Muslim Youth League UK Sisters Halifax held a fun filled ‘Eid festival 2012’ at The Halifax High School at Wellesley Park from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday 1st September 2012.
Over the few years we have built good relations with the local mosques. We have made sure our presence is recognised and our contributions noted.
On Friday 27th January 2012 MYL-s Halifax teamed up with local school, Halifax High At Wellesley Park to host the first ever ‘Peace and Unity Event’. The afternoon consisted of a variety of different acts taking place with an audience of approximately 200 people.
On Tuesday 21st August 2012 the students at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax celebrated Eid by participating in the Eid Party which was supervised by head of the Minhaj Education Project, Javid Akhtar and the Education projects Ladies co-ordinator, Jamila Akhtar.
On 15 February 2012, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Halifax organised their 18th annual event to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. The event took place at the Raven Street Community Centre Halifax and was attended by approximately 400 women.
On Friday 27th January 2012 The Inauguration of the new extension to the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax took place in the presence of Milad Raza Qadri, Javid Akhtar (Head of Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax), the students of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax and their parents. The extension of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project includes a new entrance, larger Classroom, Reception, Office, Library area, Computer area with internet access, Exercising area and also a Prayer area.
