On Monday 18th November 2013, Minhaj Women League Halifax held their Muharrum programme at The Minhaj Education Project Halifax. Over 120 Ladies and youth sisters attended the programme.

Minhaj Women League UK Seminar on Bibi Zainab RA

Under the direct instruction of Minhaj Women League UK, Sister Jamila Akhtar (MWL UK Finance Secretary) from Halifax organised and lead a seminar on Bibi Zainab RA The granddaughter of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the daughter of Hazrat Ali RA and Bibi Fathima RA.
The seminar began with a short Tilawat e Quran by Sister Jamila Akhter, followed by an introduction on the aims of the seminar being an insight into the life and lessons learned from Bibi Zainab RA life.
Sister Naid (MWL Halifax President) read a lovely naat, followed by Sister Naseem Riaz (MWL UK Senior Council member) talkingin urdu about the role of Bibi Zainab RA in Karbala, she put light into the sacrifices Bibi Zainab RA gave.

On Sunday 25 November 2012, the MYLUK Sisters Halifax, along with a large number of local sisters gathered at the Minhaj Education Centre in Halifax to remember the great sacrifices Imam Hussain AS made for Islam.

MYL UK-S Halifax: ‘Marriage in Islam’ Seminar #1
On Sunday 3rd November 2013, MYL UK Sisters Halifax team held their very first seminar. The topic of the seminar was ‘Marriage in Islam’ and was held at the Minhaj Education Centre in Halifax. The team aims to hold one seminar on the first Sunday of each month, covering different topics. This seminar was led by Sister Tahira Afzal (MYL UK-S Executive Member). The seminar was divided into the following 4 sections:
1. What do the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah say about marriage?
2. How to find a partner and what to look for in a possible partner
3. Rights and responsibilities of the husband and wife
4. How to maintain a happy marriage
Opening of Monday Youth Dhikr's in Halifax
Alhamdulillah, with the blessings of Shaykh-ul-Islam, the first opening program for youth brothers weekly 'Monday Youth Dhikr' on Monday 19th November 2012 that took place in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Centre Halifax went very well; Monday was selected because of its connection to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.); the day of the birth of the Prophet (S.A.W.) was Monday. In this first session, the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project team's target was to attract approximately 40 youth brothers to attend; this target was successfully met, and all the participants were 16+ years old youth brothers and most of them were 18+ years old. All brothers promised to attend each week and to bring along their friends to the next one Insha'Allah, we are looking to have 100 regular youth brothers who will be attending every week, we will achieve this very soon with the blessings of Shaykh-ul-Islam Insha'Allah.
