In 2010 the Muslim Youth League Sisters Halifax began working in connection with The Calderdale College and the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax to promote the celebration of Milad-un-Nabi (saw), the blessed birthday of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to encourage young Asian girls and women to get involved in educational courses.

All material, which was developed, was done so through the works of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. A presentation was delivered about the importance of celebrating Milad-un-Nabi by MYL-S member Tahira Afzal.  At the end, a lecture clip by Shaykh-ul-Islam about the importance of Milad-un-Nabi (saw) and the importance of reciting Durood Shareef was shown and discussed.

All the participants were given a folder with literature about Milad-un-Nabi, lyrics to different nasheeds and information about Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The event was a great success.
