The series of Milad un Nabi mehfils commenced on the 6th day of the blessed month Rabbi ul Awwal place on daily basis for the next 12days. These took place alternating between all the sisters from the Burnley Tanzeem. Start date: 6th of January 2014.

All Sisters recite Darood Sharif, at the beginning of the program followed by Tilawat and translation. Followed by a Hadith and it’s tafseer from the book- Minhaj ul Sawi. 10 minutes of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s lecture (with a focus on the celebration of Milad un Nabi) was played, Naats are recited for the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings upon him). Salaam and salutations are sent upon the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him). Dua was made which concluded the Milad un Nabi Mehfil. Food was served in part of the celebration.
Positive feedback has been received by all sisters attending and new sisters have also shown interest.
The Milad un Nabi (SAW) mehfil took place on the 1st of February 2014. This took place at Mrs Maqsood Begum’s house.
The mehfil was to mark the special birth of our Beloved Prophet (peace and blessing upon him). The stage secretary sister Sabah Mazhar opened the beautiful mehfil by introducing Sister Aiza Jawed to recite Surah Kosur from the Holy Qur’an.
Sister Sabah went on to narrate a beautiful Hadeeth on the importance of celebrating the birth of the most perfect and merciful creation the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings upon him). The Mehfil was continued by melodious Naats being recited by sisters Noshaza and Sanah Fiaz.
Sister Sanah Azhar spoke upon the significance of this auspicious month of Rabbi ul Awwal, when humanity was blessed by the special birth of our Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in light of hadeeth.
Sister Riffat Razaq, Sister Raheela, Sister Nasreen Majid and Kinza Batool all recited beautiful Naats which lifted the mehfil.
Sister Aasia Ahmed delivered a beautiful and moving speech on the Mercy and the graceful Seerah of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessing be upon him) in light of the Holy Qur’an and several Hadeeth. This speech captured the hearts of the audience and enlightened the souls of the sister’s present. Sister Aisha Shakir captured everyone’s attention with her amazing recitation of passionate Naats and lifted the mehfil.
Sister Nasreen Akhtar (President of the North Zone UK) delivered a speech on Minhaj-ul-Qur’an and enlightened sisters with the mission and work that the organisation carries out. They went on to invite sisters to join this organisation. Sister Nasreen spoke about his imminence Sheikh ul Islam and his ongoing dedication to spreading Islam and the love of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) within all our hearts.
Salaam and salutations were recited upon the Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) by several sisters to mark the end of this beautiful gathering and dua concluded the programme. An elegant birthday cake was also cut and served as a part of the Milad un Nabi celebrations and food was also served on this joyous occasion.
