MYL UK - Sisters Halqa-e-Durud and Dhikr Mawlid Gathering in Bradford

On Saturday 18th January 2014 Muslim Youth League Sisters UK in Bradford held an exclusive Mawlid Dhikr and Halaqa-e-Durood gathering in order to commemorate the blessed birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him). It was an even greater honour for MYLUK  -Sisters as the gathering took place in the presence of the blessed Hair of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him).

It was a beautiful gathering with an impressive turnout, and participants from as far as Halifax and Huddersfield participated in the gathering..

The first 20 minutes of the gathering were allocated to the silent recital of Salutations and Greetings upon our Beloved (peace and blessings be upon Him), this was followed by Tilawat, recitaion of the Holy Quran. Following the Tilawat several Hadith’s from the Minhaj-us-Sawwi, by Shaykh-ul-Islam dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, were recite. This was followed by collective recitation of Durood-o-Salam by the participants. A Mehfil-e-Naat took place soon after, collective praises were recited in honour of the esteemed status of Prophet Muhammad (please and blessings be upon Him) and also in celebration his blessed birth.

The purpose of hosting the gathering within the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was to inculcate the vision of Minhaj-ul-Quran International into the minds and hearts of the participants. Gosha-e-Durood was initially set up at Minhaj-ul-Quran International headquarters in Lahore; Central Secretariat, Pakistan. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has established the unique system of Gosha-e-Durood with the purpose of honouring the best of the creation Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him) by developing an institution which has the sole purpose of sending salutations 24 hours a day. Gosha e Durood which started on a small scale has now, through the blessings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him), rapidly extended to over a hundred countries across the globe where participants gather regularly to spiritually revive the love of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon Him).

Participants of the spiritual gathering expressed appreciation over the initiative taken by Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri to revive the love, obedience and respect of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him) across all corners of the world. A collective Dua was made for the success of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and for the continuation of such spiritual gatherings that will become the means of gaining the intercession of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him). The gathering concluded on a special Dua for Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and also the success of MYLUK – Sisters.

The final moments of the Mehfil consisted in all participants having the opportunity to view the blessed Hair of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him) whilst there collective recital of Durood Sharif. The event concluded at 7:45pm and food was served to all participants including cake.

Regular gatherings are held on Sunday at 5pm, at the MQI centre in Bradford, Manningham Lane. All sisters are welcome to participate.
