With the grace and blessings of Almighty Allah (SWT) and his beloved Rusool, the much anticipated fundraiser took place in Bradford on 20th May 2012, organized by the Minhaj Women’s League in conjunction with the Muslim Youth League of Bradford. The fun day was organised to boost funds for the construction work taking place which will expand MQI Bradford and create more facilities for the local community.

The fundraiser took place at Idara Minhaj ul Quran, it lasted from 11am up until 5pm, although the weather had been bleak, miserable and wet several days before, on the day of the fundraiser it was a beautiful and a pleasant weather with a very impressive turnout Alhamdulillah.

The day consisted of various activities specifically for children and women, such as food stalls, jewellery, hijabs for women, face painting, mehndi, clothes stalls, toys, a bouncy castle, delicious snacks and a separate stall promoting the literature of Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri. It was a buzzing day with children running back and fro and the organizers kept busy for all the 6 hours. Volunteers were also appointed to go around from stall to stall and get signatures for the London Declaration from all those who were present, through this MYL was also introduced to the attendees and many people took an active interest.

The family fun day was promoted through various means such as Facebook, word of mouth, emails and posters were also distributed at numerous places in Bradford. The fundraiser required a great amount of effort and preparation from the organizers, the Women’s League alongside the Muslim Youth League of Bradford have worked incredibly hard to make this fundraiser the success it has been.

We are sure that all those who attended enjoyed the day thoroughly, may Allah bless the efforts made by the event planners abundantly and may we also be able to organize more successful events as such in the future.
