This month’s Dars-e-Irfan-ul-Quran and Halqa-e-Durood were held at Haji Yakoob sahib’s residence on 12/11/2012 at around 19:30. Special guest and Lecturer for this event was Shaykh Abdul Saeed Sahib from Minhaj Ul Quran Centre Nelson, UK.

Shaykh Abdul Saeed recently moved to MQI centre Nelson from MQI centre Bradford, UK. He has been appointed as the Head of MQI centre Nelson to continue his hard work and share the wealth of knowledge to new audiences. This spiritual program started at around 19:30 with participants reading Durood Shareef. Durood Shareef was read around 4,500 on this blessed occasion.

The recitation from Glorious Quran was done by Qari Imtiaz sahib. After the recitation of Glorious Quran, Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (S.A.W.) was also read by Qari Imtiaz sahib.

Shaykh Abdul Saeed was then invited to deliver the keynote lecture; he chose the topic ‘Purpose of Life’ for his lecture. He emphasised on the basic purpose of creation and life of all the creations of Allah (S.W.T). He said: “Allah (S.W.T) created this world (Earth) for the service of all his other creations, Allah (S.W.T) created grass and other plants and crops for the service of animals, birds and Humans but Allah (S.W.T) created animals just for the service of humans”. He then said: “All creations of Allah (S.W.T) are acting according to their reason for creation apart from humans. Our basic and most important reason for creation was to be Allah (S.W.T)’s ‘Abd’ and to spend our life according to the will of Allah (S.W.T) and the teachings of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).” We have forgotten our basic reason for creation and we are trying to find peace and relaxation in other means which are illusions of this world.

Shaykh Abdul Saeed also emphasised that whenever we do anything, we should not do it just because it needs to be done but by thinking in our hearts that this is Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.). By doing this we will not only get reward for every act we do but also it will refrain us from sins.

After the beautiful lecture by Shaykh Abdul Saeed, participants did ‘Zikr’ of Allah (S.W.T). Two course meals were served by Haji Yakoob sahib at around 21:30 and dua was made by Shaykh Abdul Saeed   to conclude the proceedings for the day.

MQI Blackburn holds this spiritual gathering every months and scholars, either from MQI Centres participate to deliver keynote lectures. Such gatherings are mostly held on first Sunday of every month.

MQI Blackburn aims to gather more and more people from our community to such blessed gatherings and youths are specially targeted to come to these programs to gain religious knowledge and to also entertain their souls with ever-lasting pleasure of Glorious Quran and Durood Shareef.
