Saturday 19th May 2018 | 3rd Ramadhan 1439AH | at Ashton Central Mosque - Organised jointly by Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International and Minhaj Women League (Ashton-Under-Lyne).

In the name of Allah, most-compassionate, ever-merciful.

The month of Ramadhan (is the month) in which the Qur’an has been sent down as guidance for mankind containing clear signs which lead (to the straight road) and distinguishing (the truth from falsehood). Therefore, he who witnesses this month must fast it, and he who is ill or on a journey should complete the count by (fasting on an equal number of) other days. Allah desires ease for you and does not desire hardship for you so that you complete the prescribed number of fasting days, and that you glorify Him for the guidance which He has blessed you with, and that you may become grateful.

~ The Glorious Qur’an (2:185).

The gathering began after Salaat-ul-Dhuhr, with the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an by Allama Qari Zāhid Sharif Rizvi (Imam and Teacher at Ashton Central Mosque). Leading onto the collective recital of Qasīdat al-Burda in honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Haji Muhammad Ashfaque Warsi (President MQI-Ashton) then led the congregation in reciting the Durood-e-Minhaj, sending invocations and salutations upon the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Allama Qari Zāhid Sharif Rizvi then led the collective recitation of the Wazaif (specified by Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for all Halqa-e-Durood gatherings); these Wazaif were printed and given to each attendee.

Our special guest Zeenat-ul-Qurra’ Ustadh Shaykh Qari Faqeer Muhammad Masoodi (Sialkot, Pakistan) explained the importance of reciting the Glorious Qur’an in the blessed month of Ramadhan. He then narrated various verses of the Glorious Qur’an highlighting references to the blessed Ahl-ul-Bait(SA) and in particular to Hadrat Sayyidah-e-Kaiynaat Fatima az-Zahra (S.A.), in an eloquent manner with Urdu translation. After that, young Br. Hussain Raza Malik Chishtī, articulated a Na’at in praise of Rasûl'Allâh ﷺ and the blessed Ahl-ul-Bait(SA). After that Br. Shahbaz Hassan Qadri (Dawah Secretary MQI-Ashton) recited another melodious Na’at in admiration of an-Nūr ﷺ.

At this point, Allama Qari Zāhid Sharif Rizvi gave a brief talk on the importance of why the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned that Syeda Fatimah az-Zahra (S.A.) is the leader of all women. He presented the Manqabat of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) in Persian language in praise of Syeda Fatimah az-Zahra (S.A.) and explained the spiritual depth of some of its beautiful lines. Haji Muhammad Ashfaque Warsi then recited a Manqabat in honour of Sayyidah-e-Kaiynaat Fatima az-Zahra (S.A.), leading onto the collective Salaat-ul-Salam for the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The final supplication Du’a read by Allama Qari Zāhid Sharif Rizvi conveyed all of the Durood Shareef and additional Wazaif recited for the Holy Prophet ﷺ, the Ahl al-Bayt and especially for the ill, poor and less fortunate people of this world. Prayers were also offered for Pakistan and those worldwide, also for the health of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

In total 1,375,100 Durood Shareef recitations were gathered on this occasion from attendees and well-wishers. All recitals have been forwarded to the Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International Central Collection of Durood Shareef.
