During Ramadhan MWL Tinsley, Sheffield, held various events and gatherings, which mostly took place at the Tinsley Islam Centre, but on some occasions, other venues were also used.

The two prominent events were, a gathering for the fourth Caliph, Sayyidina Ali RA, and another for Sayyidina Fatimah Az-Zahra, with close to a hundred people attending.

Further to this, every Friday Salah Tasbih was held at a local residence, with approximately 15 people taking part.

MWL Tinsley gifted six English Irfan-ul-Qurans so that those who were unfamiliar with Urdu and Arabic could gain benefit from, and understand the Holy Quran. Additionally, CDs of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri were also distributed.

Over 28 days of Ramadhan, halqa-e-durood was held at various locations and was sponsored by a large number of sisters from the local community. These gatherings started with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Sister Nasreen Akhtar, Dawah Secretary, and were followed by a reading of a daily Hadith by Sister Abida. Collective Darood Sharif was then recited for most part of the gathering and in the end a small clip from Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s lecture on Imaan was played. This was to assist the audience in understanding their Aqeeda and Sister Khalda Khan, President Tinsley, was on hand to answer any questions.

This was followed by recitation of Naat, with all the audience joining in the praise of the Holy Prophet SAW. Then time was taken to have a session of Dhikr, to allow the audience to focus on themselves and strengthen their link with Allah SWT. Sister Aeysha Mirza, General Secretary, then concluded with Salaam and Dua.
