On Sunday 24th January Sandwell Minhaj Women’s League from the West Midlands held a Mawlid-un-Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ event to celebrate the birth of the best of all creation at Corbett Street Mosque in Smethwick. We started off with Tilawat and Nasheeds which were recited by Sister Aisha Kosar.

We played a 20 minute speech of Dr Muhammed Tahir-ul-Qadri regarding permissibility to celebrate Mawlid.

Sister Rozina Nawaz MWL Midland Zone General Secretary gave a speech in English on the Shu'mail which is the description of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ .

Our stage secretary for the event was sister Sadia Bibi (President of Minhaj women’s league in Sandwell) towards the end of the programme she introduced our guest speaker the honourable president of Minhaj Women’s League in the UK sister Ustazah Fatima Mash'hadi who gave a speech on what will happen in our graves when we die.

We finished with Salaam on the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ and prayer was said by Sister Zinnat. Food was served to all attendees.
