On 2-11-16 MWL Nottingham had the opportunity of joining this national NSPCC initiative. The workshop was held for parents to raise awareness of dangers to children while using the internet.  A number of apps were discussed, explaining how children could easily be exploited.   This included social media websites.  The ladies who attended the courses interacted well and were asking a lot of questions and raising concerns.

The programme ended with positive feedback from both the attendees and NSPCC. The ladies who attended the workshop have asked for further awareness courses. NSPCC have expressed a very keen interest to work further with MWL.

BBC Radio Nottingham took an interest both before and during the workshop. This gave me an opportunity to speak twice about MWL and what we are doing by interacting with communities in relation to social issues. It was a very successful workshop with the required amount of attendees, who will be receiving certificates for attending the workshop.
