Alhamdulillah, with help of Allah the Almighty and his beloved Prophet Muhammed SAW, a monthly gathering combined with grand Giyaraween Shareef was held on the 7th February 2016, at the  of Minhaj-ul-Quran Naseby Road Alum Rock Birmingham.

Our host for the day was Sister Kausar Abbas MWL, who invited Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) to start the mehfil by reciting verses from the Glorious Quran, followed and naat Shareef by Sister Imtiaz. Sister Sadia Ashraf member of Minhaj-ul-Quran who had organised and prepared a lovely girls naat group. Sister Sadia Ashraf did an excellent job, as the young girls in the group also read out short hadiths and gave small messages to the public. As a Media secretary of Alum Rock Tanzeem, I was also invited to read a naat Shareef followed by Sister Tabassam’s group. Sister Tabassam who is in Minhaj Youth League also did an excellent job, by prepared the young girls group to read naats, Bless the little angles.

I would like to mention that there has been a change in Alum Rock Birmingham tanzeem, Sister Rukhsana Parveen has taken a step down from president post, and handed it over to Sister Rabia Khanam, who is now our new MWL (President of Alum Rock Birmingham). Flowers were presented to Sister Rabia Khanam to welcome her and also a gift for Sister Rukhsana Parveen for being an excellent president, who was always encouraging and praising the tanzeem to do well, just like Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammed Tahir-ul-Qadri. May Allah Subhan WTaala and the prophet Muhammad PBUH bless this tanzeem and keep them as a unity.

Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham), did an English speech on Awliya Allah and how they are very close to Allah SAW. Allah Subhan WaTaal becomes their eyes, ears, tongue, hands and feet, where ever they went, whatever they did or see, walk and strike. Whatever they seek for Allah Subhan WaTaala he grants them. Awliya Allah only please Allah SAW and vice versa. Awliya Allah only love in sake of Allah SAW and hate in the sake of Allah SAW, which brings the bond even closer between Allah and the wali. These are the signs, we as Minhaji’s see in our Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, who devoted his life in the way of Allah SAW and has spent their whole life doing free work for deen and for the sake of Allah SAW. Through our Shaykh we have direct link to Ghaus-e-Azam (RA) we, as Minhaji’s are mureeds (followers) of Ghaus-e-Azam (RA).

Sister Rukhsana Iqbal MWL (Dawah Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) did a speech in Urdu also on the topic of Ghaus-e-Azam (RA). Sister Rukhsana spoke about some of the miracles of Ghaus-e-Azam (RA). Once Ghaus-e-Azam (RA) was walking along the riverbank when they saw an old lady weeping, who only had one son. It had been twelve years since the day the boat sank with her son, his wife and other relatives in it, which was the son’s wedding day. Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam (RA) felt sorry for this old lady who came to the riverbank and wept daily. Ghaus-e-Azam raised his hands to Allah Subhan WaTaala and pray for her son. After a few minutes the boat sailed to the riverbank, as if had never sunk and all the passengers came to Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam and asked for prays and many non- believers accepted Islam after seeing this miracle. Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam was a waliyah even before they were born, when asked at a young age by their teacher to recite Bilsmillah Shareef, Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam recited of by heart fully eighteen pharay of the Holy Quran. When asked by their teacher who had taught them the Holy Quran, Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam replied “when I was in my mother’s womb she used to read them and I could hear her, and so I have memorised them. We believe that as mureeds (followers) of Ghaus-e-Azam we will not die until we have asked forgiveness for our sins. On behalf of Minhaj-ul-Quran we ask u to come and join us, as followers of Ghaus-e-Azam and be part of this blessed followers. Minhaj-ul-Quran is an International peaceful group who only promotes love, peace and harmony.

This mehfil was concluded with a beautiful dua and salaam by Sister Sadia Ashraf, food was served.
