Rabi-ul-Awwal is a very exciting month for Muslim’s. It refreshes their love for The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and brings happiness and joy to their lives.

On the 16th of December 2015, Sister Gulshan-e-Fatima MWL (President of Midlands) celebrated the birthday of The Prophet ﷺ. The turnout was amazing and the ladies all dressed beautifully with their sparkling outfits.

The event was held in Minhaj-ul-Quran Birmingham, on Naseby Road in Alum Rock. The Mosque was lit up with beautiful lights and various other decorative pieces. All the Sisters recited Durood Shareef collectively, then Sister Nasreen Begum started the Mehfil with a recitation from The Holy Quran, which rendered everyone emotional. Everyone recited the Durood Shareef melodiously then sisters took turns to recite Naat Shareefs.

Sister Fatima Yasmeen was the special guest speaker invited to make a speech. She spoke about the beauty of The Prophet ﷺ and recited poetry which was just amazing to listen to.

Another guest speaker was Sister Rukhsana Parveen MWL (President of Alum Rock B’ham) who also praised the Almighty Allah and His Prophet ﷺ in her speech. Sister Rukhsana talked about when Hazarat Amina was about to give birth to The Holy Prophet ﷺ and how Hazarat Maryam, Hazarat Asiah, Hazarat Hajra and Hoor al ayn (women from heaven) assisted her during birth.

Sister Rukhsana Parveen also read a lot of beautiful poetry in praise of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The Mehfil was concluded with a Dua by Sister Gulshan-e-Fatima.

Salaam was recited and then food was served to all the ladies.
