Rabi-ul-Awwal is a very exciting month of the year for Muslims, as the love for The Prophet PBUH in everyone’s heart is once again refreshed on the birthday of The Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

On the 13th of December of 2015 , Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock B’ham) held a Mawlid celebration at her house where there was a collective short Durood Shareef recitation preceding the Tilawat , which was an excerpt of Surah Rehman by Sister Nusrat Parveen. Sister Rukhsana Iqbal MWL (Dawah Assistant of Alum Rock B’ham) read Qaseeda Burda Shareef and there were many different Naats recited by lots of young Sisters including Sister Shazia’s Daughter, Amina Ishtiaq, who recited a Naat whilst playing the daff.

Sister Rukhsana Parveen MWL (President of Alum Rock B’ham) gave a short talk on Mawlid-un-Nabi and how this was celebrated in the time of The Prophet PBUH, as well as how The Prophet is a mercy to all of mankind. Zikr was done by Sister Rabia Khanam MWL (Welfare Secretary of Alum Rock B’ham) followed by an emotional Dua by Sister Rukhsana Iqbal and Salaam by Sister Amina Ishtiaq.
