With the grace of Allah Almighty, on the 1st of November Minhaj Women’s league (Alum Rock) had organised a Sayyeda Zainab (RA) conference. Which took place at Minhaj-ul-Quran Birmingham. The conference began with a peaceful recitation from The Glorious Quran by youth sister Amina Ishtiaq. The conference was hosted by Sister Rabia Khanam (MWL Alum Rock Welfare Secretary). A few Naats and manqabats were recited by some of the sisters.

Sister Rukhsana Iqbal enlightened us on Tarjama and Tafseer of Irfan-ul-Quran. Soon after Sister Rehana briefly spoke on loving and respecting the Ahle Bayt. Then Sister Shazia (MWL Alum Rock Dawah Secretary) delivered a short talk in English on the love of Ahle Bayt and the foundation of Imaan and how The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him & His Family) dearly loved His family. Sister Shazia did a presentation on MDP (Minhaj Dawah Project) the great work they are doing throughout the UK to spread the true message of Islam through free literature, in prisons, universities etc.

Sister Abida Mughal (MWL Alum Rock General Secretary) spoke on Hazrat Ali 's (RA) role and responsibilities before The Holy Prophet's(PBUH) migration to Madina.

Sister Haleema Saadia did a short talk in English on the status of Imam Hussain (RA) and how the Imam stood up against injustice and oppression and sacrificed everything to save our Deen. She also explained how Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is also following the Imams footsteps.

Sister Gulshan e Fatima (MWL Midland Zone President) did a presentation on Minhaj Welfare. She praised the excellent work of Alum Rock Women’s league have done to support this excellent cause. Futhermore she spoke on the great work MWF are doing and promoted the recent Earthquake Disaster in Pakistan.

Sister Rukhsana Parveen (MWL Alum Rock President) delivered the main Urdu speech which was about how Allah (SWT) tests his beloved people in order to reward them and raise their status in both worlds. She spoke about how Allah's beloved people are always grateful to Him no matter what state they are in, she also spoke on Hazrat Zainab's biography and how bravely she spoke up against the Yazid and all his evil doings and what lessons as women can we learn from this.

The was concluded with Salaam recited by Sister Haleema and a wonderful Dua was done by Sister Rukhsana Begum (MWL Alum Rock Membership Secretary).

Food was served at end.
