Sister Abida Mughal (MWL General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) did a wonderful speech about Miraj-ul-Nabi, she explained that all The Prophets had some kind of different Miraj as Hazarat Younis (AS) had Miraj after forty days in a whales stomach and Hazarat Isa (AS) had a Miraj on the mount Toor, but The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had a special Miraj where Allah (SWT) asked to meet him face to face. Angel Jabreel and seventy thousand angels were order by Allah (SWT) to go and awake The Prophet (SAW). Jabreel (AS) was to awake The Prophet (SAW) by kissing his feet while The Prophet (SAW) was asleep and give him the news that his Creator would like to meet him. The Prophet (SAW)s chest Mubarak was cut open and his heart was taken out to be purified with Zam Zam water before placing it back without any blood been drawn out. First The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) travelled from Makkah Mukarama to Masjid Aqsa and led a jamaat of two rakat nafl with all the prophets before travelling to Sidra muntuha where angel Jabreel (AS) could not travel any further. The rest of the journey was made by Prophet (SAW) alone until he reached Arsh Azeem to meet Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) and his Nabi (SAW) sat facing each other with the distance of two arrows between them gazing at each other with so much love and compassion, Allah (SWT) asked Nabi paak (SAW) what is your wishes and Nabi Paak (SAW) replied forgive my ummah and after some conversation Allah (SWT) gave Namaz as a gift to his Ummah and made it a farz to read five prays a day but still get the equivalent swaab of reading fifty prayers a day.
